The Act

The Fair Registration Practices in Regulated Professions Act

The purpose of The Fair Registration Practices in Regulated Professions Act is to help ensure regulated professions and individuals applying for registration by regulated professions are governed by registration practices that are transparent, objective, impartial and fair.

The Act applies to 31 self regulated professions, government regulated professions, and the trades.

The Act appoints a Fairness Commissioner to review registration practices and a Minister to administer the Act, and sets out a Fair Registration Practices Code.
